Who among the humans is
capable of doing the communication research with the dolphins? What
beliefs do such scientific observers use to facilitate the work?

It is questions like these
that I have asked for many years now, and have caused me to take a
very close look at what we mean by the "scientific observer."

In order to take full advantage
of the communication possibilities with dolphins, those involved in
the work must not be impeded by scientific dogmas, spiritual dogmas, by the society
in which they live, by the media, or by the government.
